If, at the end of a reference period, you have not accumulated the minimum number of required continuing education hours, the OIQ sends you a notice to inform you that you are in a situation of default.
This notice informs you, among other things, that if you do not correct the situation, you may be struck off the OIQ’s roll.
You will then have a period of 90 days from receipt of the notice to regularize your situation.
Note that any continuing education hours you accumulate after receiving a notice of default will be automatically credited to the reference period concerned by the notice.

If you do not regulate the situation within the period of time specified in the notice of default, the OIQ sends you a final notice.
You will then have a final delay of 30 days from receipt of the notice to regularize your situation. If you fail to do so, you will be struck from the OIQ’s roll.

NOTICE OF REMOVAL FROM THE ROLL
If you do not regulate the situation within the period of time specified in the final notice, the OIQ sends you a notice of removal from the roll.
Note that when you are struck off the OIQ's roll, you lose your right to practice the profession and use your professional title, whether you are an engineer, junior engineer or engineer-in-training at the time.
You will be removed from the OIQ's roll until you correct your default status by providing the required proof and the OIQ's Executive Committee lifts the sanction.
