To encourage the next generation of engineers in its pursuit of excellence, every year
the Order gives out various awards and fellowships. Presented at the annual Gala de l’excellence,
these honours spotlight new talents and introduce them to their future colleagues.
The Student Award of Merit and the Fellowship for Excellence in Graduate Studies have something in common: they both aim to underscore the importance of subscribing to the profession’s four core values: competence, ethics, responsibility and social commitment. Together, these values form an attitude that is essential to the practice of engineering and, consequently, to the maintenance
of public trust in the profession.
