The Disciplinary Council of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec strikes Vincent Boulet off the roll for a period of 20 weeks

    jeudi 20 octobre 2016
    • Montreal, October 20, 2016 – The Disciplinary Council of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec rendered its decision on guilt and penalty in the case of Vincent Boulet, who will be struck off the roll for a period of 20 weeks. In its decision, the Disciplinary Council also ordered Mr. Boulet to pay all costs in connection with the proceedings, including publication costs.
    • Mr. Boulet was found guilty of violating two sections of the Code of Ethics of Engineers, which concern the use of dishonest and doubtful practices and situations of conflict of interest. He participated in a false billing scheme set up by the firm formerly known as Roche (now Norda Stelo) to generate cash.

Mr. Boulet’s alleged offences took place in 2009 and 2010, while he was president of Noram Experts-Conseils, a Montmagny-based firm bought by Roche in 2010.

The penalties imposed by the Disciplinary Council are enforceable when the appeal period has expired. They are intended to protect the public, dissuade professionals from repeating offences and set an example for other members of the profession.

The full version of the Disciplinary Council’s decision, including the summary of charges, is available on the OIQ’s Web site.
